Ayodhya Ram Temple to Celebrate First Anniversary of Consecration Ceremony on January 11, 2025

The Ayodhya Ram Temple is all set to celebrate the first anniversary of its consecration ceremony on January 11, 2025. Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, confirmed that this celebration will follow Hindu traditions. The original consecration ceremony, also known as ‘pran-pratishtha,’ took place on January 22, 2024, marking a historic moment for the temple and its followers.

Ongoing Construction and Temple Complex Development

The celebrations come amidst ongoing construction work at the Ram Temple complex, which includes plans for 18 additional temples dedicated to various figures from Hindu mythology. These temples will honor revered personalities like Dashavatar, Sheshavatar, Nishadraj, Shabari, Ahalya, and Saint Tulsidas, among others. Rai assured the public that the construction is progressing rapidly and remains on schedule, adhering to the planned timelines for each phase of development.

Clarification on Prasad and Offerings

In response to certain rumors surrounding the temple’s ‘prasad,’ Rai provided clarifications about its preparation and distribution. He emphasized that for the past 30 years, no prasad has been brought from outside to the Ram temple premises. All prasad offered to devotees is prepared within the temple complex itself, designed to remain fresh and unspoiled for long periods. Additionally, offerings like ‘chhappan bhog’ are checked thoroughly before being dedicated to Ram Lalla, ensuring the quality and sanctity of the offerings.

The Historic Consecration Ceremony

The consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla’s idol on January 22, 2024, was a momentous occasion, attended by several dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Anandiben Patel. Prime Minister Modi expressed his emotional connection to the event, saying, “The remarkable moment of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Dham is going to leave everyone emotional. It is my immense fortune to be a part of this divine programme. Jai Siya Ram!”

As the first anniversary approaches, the celebrations at the Ram Temple will not only commemorate the consecration ceremony but also highlight the temple’s rapid growth and ongoing developments. Devotees and followers eagerly await this milestone, marking an important chapter in the history of the temple and its cultural significance in the region.
