MH Law CET 2019

Students will be informed about the availability of the application form for 3 year LLB once the link gets active. After MH LAW CET 2019 exam, the screening of the candidates will be done on merit basis. Last year 21 institutes offered admission in 3 years and 5-year LLB courses on the basis of MH LAW CET 2019 scores. About 10060 seats were available last year at 153 colleges. The figures can change for MH Law CET 2019. Check the important dates for MH LAW CET 2019 from below.

How to Apply for MH LAW CET 2019

The students who are willing to appear for MH Law CET 2019 can complete the registration process and fill the online application form by following the steps below.

Step 1 – Visit the official website – First, candidates have to visit mahacet.org, the MH LAW CET 2019 official website.

Step 2 – New Registration – Through the “Apply Now” tab, candidates will be able to do a new registration. For MH LAW CET 2019 registration, candidates have to submit a valid Email ID and Phone Number.

Step 3 – Check Credentials – On the registered email id, candidates will receive the registration number and Password.

Step 4 – Fill application form – Now the candidates have to enter their respective details in the application form. Candidates will have to provide personal details, education details and more.

Step 5 – Upload documents – Now, the candidates have to upload the documents such as upload the photographs and signatures.

Step 6 – Check for errors – Now, the candidates must check all the details mentioned in the application form. Just go through all the entered spellings and data in the application form and correct if needed.

Step 7 – Submit the form and Pay the application fee – Now, candidates can finally submit their application form. Upon submission, candidates have to pay the application fee. An online gateway will open; through which, students will be able to pay the application fee amount. Check the application fee for different category candidates from below.

Application Fee for LLB (3-year and 5 year LLB course)

  1. For Outside Maharashtra state candidates, Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State and all the other candidates belonging to any category: Rs 800/- (Non-Refundable).
  • For SC/ST candidates of the Maharashtra state – Rs 400/- (Non-Refundable)

2. Candidates can pay the above-mentioned application fee via ,Internet Banking, Credit Card/ Debit Card – (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Payment,Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallet, IMPS etc.

  • Finally, click on the submit button and the application procedure for MH Law CET 2019 will be completed.

Maharashtra Law CET Eligibility Criteria

The candidates will have to match the eligibility requirements as laid down by the DHE Maharashtra. Before filling the application form, the students must make sure that they match the following eligibility standard. Students appearing for the 3 year LLB and 5 years integrated LLB course can check and note the same.

The MH Law CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria for admission to 3 year LLB programme

  • The candidate must be a Citizen of India.
  • The candidates who will appear for the MH Law CET 2019 must have done graduation (10+2+3 year) or Postgraduation (10+2+3+2/3 year) in any discipline from University of Maharashtra/ State Legislature or an equally recognized university/deemed to be university or from a foreign university having an equal status of an Indian University.
  • Students who have completed the above-mentioned level of education qualification from distance learning will also be eligible for MH Law CET 2019
  • The Open Category Candidates (Candidates who have finished the above education from an institution from outside Maharashtra State) should have an aggregate score of at least 45%
  • SC/ST Candidates and the Candidates who belong to the State of Maharashtra must have an aggregate score of 40% in Graduate (10+2+3) or Post Graduate (10+2+3+2/3) level of Education. The Maharashtra State Candidature is explained in the Image below.

Important Note: The students who have completed the 10+2 Education in a single sitting i.e without studying 1-9 classes are NOT eligible for MH Law CET 2019.

MH Law CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria for admission to 5 year LLB programme The candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent exam such as 11+1 – ‘A’ level in Senior School Leaving Certificate Course. Students must the supporting documents for their claims.

  • The open category candidates must have scored at least 45% marks in the above educational qualification.
  • Candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories or the Candidates who belong to the State of Maharashtra must have scored at least 40% marks in the above educational qualification.

Important Note

  • Students who have studies the 10+2 or equivalent exam in one sitting i.e without studying the 1-9th level of education are NOT eligible to take admissions.

Maharashtra State Candidature

The candidates who have any doubts related to the Maharashtra state candidature can check the image below. The candidates who fulfill the below eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidature can appear for the MH Law CET 2019 with an aggregate 40% Marks in the Qualifying Examination for the 3 Year and 5 year LLB courses.

Age Limit for 3 years LLB – There is no upper age limit for admissions to the 3 year LLB course. However, they if there will be an age limit, it will be as

For open Category candidates – 30 years
For SC/ST candidates from the state of Maharashtra – 35 years

Age Limit for 5 years integrated LLB – There is no age limit applicable for the 5 years integrated LLB Course. However, if there will be an age limit in future, it shall be as follows –

For Open category Candidates – 20
For ST/ST Candidates of Maharashtra State – 22 Years

MH Law CET 2019 Syllabus

For Effective preparation, the students must know the syllabus for MH Law CET 2019 Exam. The syllabus given below is as per the last year. However, it is expected that it will remain the same for this year also.

  • English
  • Logical and Analytical Reasoning
  • Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs

English: This section will check the students English proficiency. The Grammatical skills and comprehension skills will be analyzed in the exam. synonyms, antonyms, fill in the blanks, English grammar will be asked in this section.

Logical and Analytical Reasoning: To understand the pattern of the question and on the basis of the critical analysis, understand the relationship and draw logical conclusions about the structure.

Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning: This section checks the student’s interest in law. The candidates can study for the same with the help of the books that are available on this page.

General Knowledge and Current Affairs: This sections will check the candidates’ awareness of the topic. The updates related to the everyday happenings will be available to the candidates. Subjects such as Economics, Civics and general science are asked in the examination.

MH Law CET 2019 syllabus for 5 year LLB course

The syllabus is same for both 3 year and 5 year LLB courses. However, for the 5 years LLB course, the students will also have to prepare for the mathematical ability section

For the Mathematics sections, students don’t need to worry a lot. Simple questions would be asked n the mathematics section. The questions would be asked on the basis of the 10th standard level of education. The following topics are very important for the mathematics section

Important Note:
 The candidates that are visually impaired, blind, or have a low vision can choose to skip the verbal questions or the questions on telegraph (if any) asked in the MH law CET 2019 exam. The marks for such candidates shall be calculated on the basis of the overall marks scored in the other sections.
