RBI Assistant Cut-Off Marks: Types

The cut-off marks for the RBI Assistant recruitment are released in three different forms.

1. Sectional Cut-Off

Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in each section of the examination. Failing to achieve the sectional cut-off in any section results in disqualification.

2. Overall Cut-Off

Apart from sectional cut-offs, candidates must also secure minimum overall marks in the exam. Clearing section-wise marks alone is not enough.

3. Zone-wise Cut-Off

Since RBI recruits assistants office-wise, the cut-off varies across different RBI offices depending on the number of vacancies and competition.

Conclusion

Understanding previous year cut-offs is an important step for candidates preparing for the RBI Assistant 2026 examination. By analysing the state-wise and category-wise trends from previous recruitment cycles, aspirants can estimate the expected cut-off and set realistic score targets.

Candidates should focus on clearing both sectional and overall cut-offs while preparing for the exam. Regular mock tests, strong time management, and analysing previous year data can significantly improve the chances of selection in the RBI Assistant recruitment process.
