What is the SNAP Entrance Exam?
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is a premier national-level management entrance examination conducted annually by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) [SIU]. It is the official mandatory gateway for securing admission into prestigious postgraduate management programs (MBA/MSc) offered across 16 constituent Symbiosis institutes.
Unlike other conventional MBA exams, SNAP is unique because it is conducted in 3 slots/attempts within the month of December. Candidates have the flexibility to appear for up to all three attempts, and their highest score (best of three) is used for the final percentile calculation.

The SNAP exam is completely computer-based and evaluates candidates across three primary sections:

Official Exam Rules & Guidelines:
- Total Time Duration: 60 Minutes (1 Hour) for the entire test.
- Sectional Time Limit: NO SECTIONAL TIME LIMIT. Candidates can freely switch between sections in any preferred order.
- Marking Scheme: +1 Mark for every correct answer.
- Negative Marking: -0.25 Marks (25% penalty) for each incorrect attempt. No deduction for unattempted questions.

The admission process for Symbiosis MBA programs is a two-step centralized process. Merely scoring a high percentile in the SNAP online test does not guarantee a seat; candidates must equally excel in the subsequent profile evaluation rounds.
