The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026 will be conducted by the National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) for admission to BA LLB (Hons.), LLM, and PhD programmes for the academic session 2026–27. The AILET 2026 notification was released on June 17, 2025 and the registration window has been activated from August 7, 2025 on the official website – nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
The last date to apply for AILET 2026 is November 10, 2025. The exam will be held in offline mode on December 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at designated test centres across the country.
Note: NLU Delhi does not accept CLAT scores. AILET is the only accepted entrance test for admission to its law programmes.

AILET 2026 Courses and Seat Intake
- BA LLB (Hons.) – 110 seats (plus 10 direct admission seats for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO)
- LLM – 70 seats (plus 10 direct admission seats for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO)
- PhD – Variable intake as per NLU Delhi’s research requirements
Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO candidates are exempt from AILET.
AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
BA LLB (Hons.)
- Passed Class 12 or equivalent with at least 45% marks (General category)
- 42% for OBC, 40% for SC/ST/PwD
- Candidates appearing in Class 12 exams in 2026 are also eligible
LLM
- Completed LLB or equivalent law degree with 50% marks (General)
- 44% for SC/ST/PwD
- Final-year LLB students can apply
PhD
- Completed LLM or equivalent with 55% marks (General)
- 50% for SC/ST/PwD
